Fishing is one of the most popular activities in Martin County and we are blessed with an abundance of both fresh water and saltwater fishing opportunties. Whether you are fishing from the shore, a pier, from a dinghy or a yacht, opportunities are endless. While not as widely practiced as fishing, hunting is also a popular activity and surprisingly there are many hunting opportunties around the county. If you plan on participating in either activity, both Florida residents and visitors need a valid Florida hunting, freshwater fishing or saltwater fishing license. You are required to carry your license with you when you are engaged in the licensed activity.
